If you are a Christian, you are a part of the body. When one part of the body is hurting the whole being is in pain or suffering along with it. This is what God has been teaching me. You are never alone, so stop acting like you are.
There are many times I have felt alone and it has been due to my own fear or stubborn thinking. For example: I don't want to tell people how I'm really doing because I'm afraid it would be too big of a burden or sound repetitive to them. Reality is, we might be asking for the same prayer request for life or for a long period of time. God has never grown tired of me and if His children are loving their neighbors as themselves, they are not growing tired of me either. I guess sometimes I would just be nice to have someone come up to me and say "hey can I pray for you and how?" That rarely happens, usually people don't have a radar that you need prayer unless you tell them yourself. Sad thing is people arent just as intentional as I am at times. If we are the body why aren't his arms reaching, why aren't his hands healing, why aren't his words teaching? I guess few people see things the way I do. It takes a person who has felt alone or suffered so much to see with the eyes of God. Those of us that have life easy tend to forget the need to see beyond the surface. Look around brothers and sisters, have mercy and compassion on those whom you call family, the body. Try to see the way God see's. Yes it goes both ways. I need to acknowledge my need and share it but feel like I need to be asked and prayed for as well. Hopefully this encourages you to look at the body in a new light.
