Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you."
I confess. There were days when I would wake up and the first thing I would do was get on facebook. I had to ask myself this whole past week: WHO'S YOUR NUMBER ONE? Sadly, on those days the answer was facebook. This is one reason why I got on a fast from facebook. I needed to reprioritize my time & remember to seek first the kingdom of God, a kingdom that could not be shaken and a grace tht should be held onto (Hebrews 12:28). I am currently reading "Living the Cross Centered Life" and focusing on Gods grace and Jesus' work on the cross has been such a blessing. I desire to wake up every morning and think of the cross first. But oh am I flawed. It's never the first thing I wake up thinking about. Some days I don't even think about it at all. But oh it is supposed to be the one thing we focus on and surround our lives around. Precious Jesus died for us and so many times we don't even want to die to ourselves. We become slaves to our sin and forget to be a slave to the one who set us free. We owe Him our lives. Every part of it: thoughts and actions. My prayer is that all of us can seek first this unshakeable kingdom and cling to His grace.
