"Hallelujah the Cornerstone against all hell is unshakeable, Almighty God our Refuge strong. Hallelujah on Christ alone the Church remains unasailable, Almighty God our Refuge strong our One Foundation" - Enfield
God is purging me and revealing so many things to me today. I can probably write more than one blog on the things I am learning for Day #4, but will just share the main thing that has stood out to me today: He is my Foundation, my Cornerstone (Eph. 2:20), my Solid Rock. I've noticed that by using facebook I tried to care about what people think of me. Am I coming across as righteous or holy? That was the sin of not living a Christ centered life. Am I portraying myself in a way that will please others or please God? That is the question that came to mind today. I guess what I'm saying is that I am not perfect and I want all of you to see that. I am only sweetly broken and far from giving you everything you want from me. I am flawed. My desire is for you to learn a lesson from me, not to be like me.
God is to be my foundation, the one whom I get my worth from. Not you or anyone else. It's not about how I look to you, but how I look in the eyes of the Lord. I chose to please God and not man. I chose to be grounded and build my house upon the rock (Luke 6:46-49). His words are more important than the words of anyone else. Check yourself on facebook. Are you concerned more with how people view you or how God views you? I will leave you with that.
