Are you an enemy of the cross? If you are not a believer then you fall under this category. Did you know that people like Paul in the Bible cry for your salvation? Did you know that I have cried for your salvation? Here's where I'm getting this passage from: Phillipians 3:18-19. It says, "For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things."
For those of us Christians, (and I fall under this category sometimes), that don't cry for the lost or live our lives comfortable in our salvation, unwilling to spread the good news that we have recieved...these words from Paul should shame us! Yes, our citizenship is in heaven but we shouldn't let it end there and live with what we may consider the "benefits" of Christianity, and forget the work of bringing more non believers to Christ. If we didnt' only focus on what we are saved to (heaven) and remember what we were saved from (hell) we would definitely not want to see anyone else in this world go there. Read books on Hell such as Hell Under Fire and you will come to tears for the ones that have never heard or will never hear of Christ in their lifetime. People are perishing left and right without Christ and we are called to be those shining stars in the midst of darkness. Don't make excuses. If you are uncapable of going to an unreached people group or overseas to places where people have never heard the name of Jesus then here is your mission field. Pray, give money to send people...you can make an impact from where you are at.
Back to those of you who are considered enemies of the cross, I was there once. I was running a hellbound race indifferent to the cost but God looked upon my helpless state and led me to the cross and now the only shadows I fall under are the shadows of the cross! I don't want your destiny to be destruction. I don't want your god to be anything other than my God, and I definitely don't want to see you glory in your shame and sin. Now is the day of salvation. Set your mind on the things above not the things of this earth. Going to hell is nothing to be proud of. God wants you and I want you to be family. This is urgent! You never know what tomorrow might bring. Don't be the walking dead, be the walking light! If you have questions seek to find the answers. Ask a believer around you and if they truly care (true believers will) they will try their best to answer you by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Open up a bible a lot of your questions can be answered just by reading it.
Remember this in all things, God cares for you! Don't be an enemy of the cross!
