Hey guys. I've just been thinking a lot lately as to whether or not I want to jump on the wagon. What wagon you might ask? Well, I'm already on the 'no sex till i'm married' wagon, but this wagon is different. I'm strongly considering jumping on the 'no kissing till I'm married' wagon. I have three reasons. They are as follows:
1. Kissing creates a memory of a moment that is so special in your mind. You relive that moment in your mind and desire to have it over again. But why would you want to desire to have that moment with anyone other than your husband or wife? And why would you desire to relive a kiss with anyone other than your husband or wife?
2. Kissing is something so intimate. It doesn't just stop at kissing. You have thoughts of taking things beyond kissing. And it just ultimtely makes things harder for you to strive to be pure for your wedding day. And I for one want to be presented before God on my wedding day by my husband as holy and blameless.
3. The pastor says, "You may NOW kiss the bride". Not "you may kiss the bride again" or "why not you've already done it". I truly believe there is a reason why the pastor says NOW in the context of a first time.
So these are my reasons and I have fully jumped on this wagon. I just pray that my future husband is on the same wagon as me when we meet.
