Fall Trees Paint

Yesterday it rained, and it sure poured. I'm thankful to God for that cuz we really needed it. Although it was hot and humid I had hot coffee (NOT iced coffee) for once in a long time. By evening it was cool enough for me to wear my flip flops, shorts and flannel shirt. Quite the outfit for a native Californian on a summer rainy day, or should I say any rainy day. I guess I might be trying to push it, but I think fall is just around the corner and that excites me! I love boots and sweaters. Cardigans and umbrellas. Pumpkin spice lattes and thanksgiving! Most of all I like making fall crafts. Lately I've been into painting and coloring fall trees onto blank cards. It's quite simple actually.

  1. First you paint the trunk in Raw Umber.
  2. Then you dot the tree (also known as stippling) with yellow, red, brown, and orange. However big you want the tree to be.
  3. After that you paint the leaves that fell right bellow the tree with the same colors.
  4. Lastly, to give it a twist you sprinkle gold glitter while the paint is still wet to really make it look like fall.

And that's it! You have this:

Not the best lighting in this photo, but you get it...  :)

Happy Fall!
