You might be wondering where've I've been for the past year or if I've even been writing. Well the answer to that is yes, a lot has happened over the last year, and yes, I have been writing. I've been carefully and intentionally writing. Not really daily, but over the span of the last year just writing what the Lord reveals to me about daily things I'm learning about myself and/or Him. So I have written about 20 something devotions within the last year, and my goal is to reach 31 so I can print them into a month long series for women and or men.
I have decided to title the whole thing "The Fall, The Rise." I've decided this because many of them have been written after moments where I've caught myself falling down in life and then after writing, realizing how God causes me to rise from my place of suffering. Believe me, sometimes I go back and read them again when I'm struggling and I ask myself "who is that person and where is that person that wrote this?" Its quite funny, but I learn from myself almost every time I reread the devotion. God teaches me something new from what He already taught me.
Life has so many ups and downs. Some stronger than others, which is why I want to share the hope God has given me with you. To encourage you to rise when you fall, even if that takes moments, days, years, or even a lifetime. God is quick to lift our weary heads up to the heavens where our help comes from. Our help comes from Him, the Maker of the heavens and earth (Psalm 121:1-2). We fall, we rise.
